Larissa has worked across a broad variety of entomological topics. She manages a team of 14 entomologists delivering insect identification and advice to Defra on Plant Health; monitoring for agricultural and horticultural insect pests for several commercial customers; monitoring for mites in feed and food premises; research into mite biology to improve monitoring and control; and research on the development of novel insect control methods (both native and invasive species). Larissa is currently the secretary of the British Crop Production Council Pests and Beneficials Working Group and a member of the Insecticide Resistance Action Group. She is also a member of the Royal Entomological Society Outreach and Development Group.
