Mapping Tumors at the Molecular and Cellular Level at National Physical Laboratory

Prof. Josephine Bunch is a Principal Scientist and Co-Director of the National Centre of Excellence in Mass Spectrometry Imaging (NiCE-MSI) at the National Physical Laboratory, UK. In this video interview, Bunch describes how her team is addressing the Cancer Research UK Grand Challenge to map tumors at a molecular and cellular level. Learn how the project will utilize a combination of different mass spectrometry imaging techniques to map tumor metabolism in far more detail than ever before. It is hoped that this molecular understanding, paired with genetic information, will help to bring forward the diagnosis of cancer and development of new therapies.

This video won the Analytical Science Video Interview of the Year in the 2018 Scientists' Choice Awards. Find out more about the awards here
