Prof. Oliver Schmitz, Applied Analytical Chemistry, University of Duisberg-Essen, explains how he uses Ion Mobility Q-TOF LC/MS and 2D-LC to push the boundaries of high-throughput, non-targeted screening of complex natural products.
Applied Analytical Chemistry, University of Duisberg-Essen
Professor Oliver J. Schmitz is an analytical chemist with experiences in ion source development, comprehensive two-dimensional LC and GC and mass spectrometry. Since 2012 he has been full professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany) and the chair of the Institute of Applied Analytical Chemistry. Furthermore, he is one of the founders of the company iGenTraX UG which develops new ion sources and units to couple separation techniques with mass spectrometers.
