Professor Steve Conlan

Reproductive Biology and Gynaecological Oncology, College of Medicine, Swansea University Medical School

Steve Conlan is Professor of Molecular and Cell Biology, head of Reproductive Biology and Gynaecological Oncology research, Director of Strategic Partnerships for the College, and Director of the Centre for NanoHealth. Prof. Conlan’s research focuses on the application of molecular, cellular and nano biology approaches to understanding gynaecological pathologies including infertility and cancer due to abnormalities in the endometrium (the lining of the womb) and ovaries. He has a particular interest in the impact of aberrant transcription and epigenetic processes in these diseases. His aim is to work towards biomarkers and points of intervention that can be developed for clinical use.
