Professor John McLean, provides insight as to how the FDA has solved issues in the drug discovery pipeline by using Organ-on-a-Chip Technology (OOC). OOC is a multi-channel 3D microfluidic cell culture chip, which removes animals from testing procedures and decreases the costs in drug discovery, enabling trials on a large number of human organs and samples.
