Selwyn has approaching 30 years of experience in all aspects of apiculture. For over 20 years, he worked within the UK National Bee Unit where he specialized in honey bee management, disease recognition diagnosis and control, advice to policy and government and honey bee ecotoxicology. Selwyn focuses on bee ecotoxicology and his current role is senior bee ecotoxicologist at Fera. He is responsible for the management and delivery of bee-related work and the development and expansion of the business and science capabilities within the team. He has expanded from working solely with honey bees into new areas such as working with non-Apis species (Bombus spp. and solitary bees e.g. Osmia bicornis). He is a seasoned GLP study director with hands-on experience in the delivery of countless regulatory laboratory, semi-field and field studies.
