Dr. Kalhari Silva is Head of Scientific Research Innovation and Research at Custom Biologics. Dr. Silva is responsible for the technical oversight and research management of the Bioassay and Molecular Diagnostics groups within the Scientific Research and Innovation Division. Dr. Silva trained as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC), and Health Sciences North Research Institute, where she elucidated the mechanism of action of novel microtubule polymerization inhibitors. Dr. Silva was awarded the Ontario Trillium Scholarship, Canada’s most prestigious scholarship for incoming international graduate students and completed her Ph.D. in biomolecular sciences from Laurentian University. Currently, Dr. Silva holds multiple years of experience in developing and validating cell-based, ligand binding and immunogenicity assays.
