Professor Vicki Wysocki, the Ohio State University, explains how her research group is studying very large protein complexes by analyzing their fragments using ion mobility mass spectrometry. This technique is a favorite among her students, both past and present - and Wysocki highlights that she often hosts past students who wish to use the technology.
