Dr. Mohammad Albanna received his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering in 2011 from Wayne State University where he focused on the reinforced chitosan-based heart valve scaffold and the utility of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells for cardiovascular tissue engineering. Albanna went on to become Founder and CEO of Humabiologics, a company that partners with the tissue banking industry to provide high-quality, supply-stable, affordable biomaterials that researchers can use.
