In this video, Dr. Sunghwan Kim, Kyungpook National University, explains his research into polyaromatic hydrocarbons, compounds found in crude oil, that can also be environmental contaminants. Ion mobility mass spectrometry gives collision cross section data that Kim utilizes to understand the structural chemistry of such compounds.
