Biofabrication of human tissue for the development of personalized medicine and regeneration of organs
18 Feb 2020
Dr. Shrike Zhang, Assistant Professor, Harvard Medical School & Associate Bioengineer, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, discusses his research on biofabrication of human tissues. Zhang describes how the bioprinters used in this work are developed by extrusion and layer-by-layer techniques, in order to provide engineered tissue for the structural regeneration of tissues for patients with disease and for the provision of models for drug testing.
