In this video, Prof. Pak Kin Wong, Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Surgery at the Pennsylvania State University, describes his current work developing comprehensive microbiology analysis systems designed to provide rapid pathogen identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing within samples. Wong also discusses the use of molecular biosensors and microfluidic technology for the identification of bacterial 16s rRNA for specific speciation of bacteria.
