Dr. Richard Gardner, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience in Norway, describes his research in the Nobel prize-winning lab of May-Britt and Edvard Moser. Dr. Gardner has developed a novel method for recording cortical neuronal firing patterns, during sleep and wakefulness, so as to explore ways to mediate learning and memory processes.
