Laboratory for the Study of Residues & Contaminants in Food

Professor Bruno Le Bizec is Director of the Laboratory for the Study of Residues and Contaminants in Food (LABERCA), Nantes, France. He started his career in 1990 at the National Veterinary School of Nantes as a Research and Teaching Assistant. In 1995, he was appointed Technical and Scientific Manager of the French Reference Laboratory in charge of dioxins and assimilated contaminants in food and growth promoter control in meat producing animals. He is currently the Head and the Scientific Director of this laboratory. Besides, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology and Pharmacology of the National Veterinary School.
